Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
1. Platform Nature & AI Disclaimer
Soup.video (“Soup”) is an AI Director for filmmakers and creative video makers. Generation is the engine; direction is the product. The platform includes the Soup AI Director Agent, Remix Studio, and related tools built on flagship third-party AI models. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the underlying model providers.
2. Third-Party AI Usage Terms
In addition to these terms, by using Soup.video, you are also bound by the usage policies, ethical guidelines, and terms of service of the third-party AI models that power our platform. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the specific terms provided by these entities:
- OpenAI: GPT Image
- Google: Veo, Nano Banana
- ByteDance: Seedance, Seedream
- xAI: Grok Imagine
- Kling AI: Kling
Please visit the respective websites of these providers to review their full usage agreements.
3. Acceptable Use, Content Rules & System Security
By using Soup.video, you agree to strictly adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy. The generation of NSFW, sexually explicit, deepfake, or illegal content is strictly prohibited and is enforced via automated content filtering. Violations will result in immediate account termination.
System Integrity: Any attempts to compromise our platform, including but not limited to SQL injection, prompt injection, API abuse, unauthorized automation, or reverse engineering of our systems, are strictly forbidden.
4. Billing, Payments & Subscriptions
4.1 Payments & Partner Terms
- Creem.io Partnership: All financial transactions on Soup.video are processed exclusively through our payment partner, Creem.io. By initiating a purchase, you agree to comply with Creem.io's terms and conditions.
- Invoicing: Since all payment data is managed entirely by Creem.io, you will receive all transaction receipts and tax invoices via automated emails sent directly from Creem.io to your registered email address.
4.2 Credits & Usage
- Non-Expiring Credits: Credits are the digital fuel for our AI engines. Whether you receive them through a recurring subscription or a one-time top-up, Credits never expire.
- Carry-Forward: Unused Credits automatically carry forward to your next billing cycle indefinitely, provided your account remains active.
4.3 Subscriptions & Plan Changes
- Upgrade/Downgrade: You can change your subscription tier at any time. However, plan changes are not prorated.
- Billing Cycles: Any change (upgrade or downgrade) will be scheduled and will only take effect at the start of your next monthly billing cycle. You will retain the benefits of your existing tier until that date.
4.4 Cancellations
- Self-Service: Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the Billing Studio.
- Post-Cancellation: Upon cancellation, your premium features and current Credit balance remain active until the end of the current paid billing period.
4.5 Refund Policy
- Case-by-Case Evaluation: Refund requests are handled on an individual, case-by-case basis, typically reserved for technical failures or documented billing errors.
- Response Commitment: We aim to respond to all refund and support inquiries within 3 business days. Please contact hello@soup.video with your order ID for any billing concerns.
4.6 Credit Abuse & Fraud
- Zero Tolerance for Exploits: Any attempt to manipulate, hack, or exploit the Credits system or payment gateways—such as bypassing paywalls or generating content beyond your legitimate Credit balance via unauthorized scripts or "dirty hacks"—is considered theft and fraud.
- Users engaging in credit abuse are held fully liable for any financial losses incurred by Soup.video.
5. AI Content Rights
You retain the rights to the briefs, prompts, and reference materials you submit. Soup.video and its model providers maintain the right to use generated assets for platform improvements, content filtering analysis, safety, and community showcases (if marked as public).
You represent that you have all rights needed to submit your brief, uploads, and references, and that your use of outputs will not infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, publicity, or other rights. Soup does not warrant that any output is unique, non-infringing, or fit for a particular commercial use.
6. Account Termination, Permanent Bans & Liability
- Permanent Bans: In the event of irregular account activity or violations of these terms (including NSFW generation, prompt/SQL injection, security exploits, credit abuse, IP theft, or Director-agent abuse), Soup.video reserves the right to issue a permanent account ban (enforced for 10 years or more).
- Asset Deletion: Upon being banned, your account and all associated personal assets, generations, and stored data will be immediately and permanently deleted without the possibility of recovery or refund.
- User Liability & Indemnification: You bear full legal and financial liability for any damages caused by your prohibited actions. Soup.video assumes absolutely zero liability for content generated, Director decisions, model outputs, or exploits utilized by users. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Soup.video from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your brief, uploads, outputs, or breach of these Terms.
7. Soup AI Director Agent
The Soup AI Director Agent (“Director”) turns your intent into a directed production — story, script, shot/beat structure, cinematography, sound, and generation workflow. You own what you want. Soup owns how it is directed.
- Not a substitute for your rights: The Director may infer craft, rewrite a brief into an original analogue, refuse a request, or block generation when a Production Board is invalid or unsafe. That is a product and safety control — not a license to copy someone else’s film, brand, or likeness, and not a warranty that the result is lawful.
- Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for the idea you bring, any files you attach, how you use the output, and any claim that the output copies a third party. Do not ask the Director to reproduce copyrighted characters, franchises, celebrity likenesses, or another creator’s Soup film.
- No extraction of the Director: You may not scrape, clone, reverse engineer, distill, or republish the Director’s prompts, recipes, tools, Production Board, agent traces, or system behavior as your own product or model.
- No silent reuse of others’ work: Do not feed another person’s Soup generation, script, or stills into the Director as if they were yours unless you have the rights to do so.
- Charges: Generation is authorized only after a valid Board and user approval of paid jobs. Soup is not liable for creative disagreement with the Director’s choices, model refusals, or similarity between independently generated works.
8. Intellectual Property, Brand & Duplication
- Soup IP: Soup, Soup.video, the Soup wordmark and mark, “Meet your AI Director,” the Director Agent, recipes, prompts, Production Board, Factory, site design, and documentation are owned by Soup.video. You receive a limited, revocable license to use the service — not ownership of Soup’s brand or Director methods.
- Brand protection: You may not impersonate Soup, use our logos or name in a way that suggests endorsement, or present a competing tool as the Soup Director. Press and partnership use of logos must follow the Press Kit.
- No duplication: Scraping the public feed, mass-copying generations, republishing another user’s film as your own, or training models on Soup outputs or Director traces without written permission is prohibited.
- Third-party IP: Copyright, trademark, and publicity rights of films, characters, music, brands, and people remain with their owners. Soup may rewrite, analogue, or refuse requests that appear to copy protected material. Enforcement by Soup does not make Soup the owner of that third-party IP.
9. Complaints, Evidence & Notices
Copyright, brand, impersonation, duplication, and content complaints must be sent to hello@soup.video with evidence. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Insufficient evidence may delay or close a report.
Include in your email:
- Your name, organization (if any), and a working contact email.
- The type of complaint (copyright, brand / trademark, impersonation, duplication, harmful content, or other).
- URLs on soup.video (asset, profile, or page) and timestamps if known.
- Screenshots, files, or other evidence of the material and of your rights or harm.
- The account handle involved, if you know it.
- For copyright: identification of the original work and a good-faith statement that use is not authorized. Formal DMCA notices should also follow our DMCA / Copyright page.
Soup may remove or restrict content, rewrite a Director run, suspend an account, or decline to act. Submitting a false or abusive complaint may itself violate these Terms.
For any questions regarding these terms, please reach out to our support team at hello@soup.video.
